Lighting and operation

Before lighting your griddle, check that all the conditions stipulated in the "Precautions for use" section have been met.

  • Check that the control knob is in the "0" position as shown (Fig.1). Open the gas supply (cylinder for Butane/Propane)

  • Turn the control knob anti-clockwise, keeping it depressed, and the igniter will generate the sparks needed to light the burners (Fig.2).

  • Keep the control lever depressed for at least 5 seconds after the burner is lit.
  • The device must not be operated for more than 15 seconds. If the burner does not light, stop operating the device, open the oven door and/or wait at least 1 minute before attempting to light the burner again.

3. Check that the regulator has been primed correctly (refer to the instructions supplied by the regulator manufacturer).

The burner does not light :

2. Burner dirty or injector blocked.

3. No gas or insufficient pressure.

The burner does not stay lit :

1. Thermocouple faulty or incorrectly positioned.

If your igniter doesn't work, you can light your griddle with a large match through the gap between the griddle and the casing on either side of your griddle (see illustration opposite).
